Chinatown Heritage Centre

This is a special place where you can feel the colourful past of Chinatown

It comes alive within the walls of three beautifully-restored shophouses, 15 galleries feature the rich history and cultural heritage of Chinatown, including the story of Chinese immigrants who came to find work in Singapore during the colonial days - all this is placed along Pagoda Street, comfortably nestled in the midst of Singapore's bustling Chinatown district.

Every corner in the Chinatown Heritage Centre pulsates with the memories of yesteryear.

This is the only place in Singapore that has recreated the original interiors of its shophouse tenants in the 1950s, offering visitors an honest, revealing glimpse into the lives of Chinatown's early residents.

Each level of the Centre takes you to a different time in the history of Chinatown and allows you to trace the lives of its early occupants.

Here is a place where traditional festivals of different races were celebrated, making Chinatown culturally vibrant and unique.
